At five months old, Sullivan is:
- reaching for and grabbing everything in sight, which is actually why this post is so late (he turns 6 months old next week..). I sat down in front of the computer while holding him a couple of weeks ago and he grabbed my tea cup that was sitting in front of us on the desk. thankfully the tea had cooled already because it poured all over both of us, and drenched half of our old keyboard. It turns out that there is a lot you can still do with a computer even if a bunch of keys are broken, so it took us weeks to replace it haha- but typing a blog post is not one of them! anyway, now that he is almost 6 months old I am having a hard time remembering what it was he was doing 3 weeks ago exactly - babies change so fast! So I'm guessing here...
- wearing 9 month size clothing.
- sleeping in his crib. not through the night yet- he usually wakes up once, sometimes twice, a night- but he falls back asleep easily in the crib after nursing.
- napping way better in the crib! we have a nap schedule of sorts now. like, he'll nap in the morning after he's been up around 1.5 hours, and he'll nap in the afternoon and then sometimes a quick one in the evening too. they're not at specific times because I really don't like to be bound by nap times, but if we are home he takes them all in his crib (and if we are out then he takes them, well, elsewhere haha like someone else's crib, or the stroller, a playpen, the car seat, ergo carrier, or my personal favourite- my arms :) )
- getting more blonde hair
- babbling and singing loudly and often
- not showing any actual teeth yet but definitely signs of teething, he's chewing on everything and super drooly and gets those really red perfectly circular teething cheeks sometimes
- turning into another water baby for me, a dream come true! we are spending a lot of time at the pool these days and I can't remember Sully crying there yet haha, he's very content in the water!
- smiling, at everyone and anything and at any time (except tummy time!)
xo.
I think you are so amazing taking two kids to the pools. I find it so incredibly stressful taking two kids to anything with water. You should do a post about tips when taking two to the pools or something! Happy new year.
