I'm celebrating everyday moments of the past couple weeks, like:
^^ A basement date with my husband while the kiddo napped: bouldering and biking! ^^
^^ shamelessly coordinating since 2014 ^^
^^ Pizza night! We may only be a family of 3 but we eat pizza like the Duggars, but I make the crust whole wheat so it's healthy right? ^^
^^ extreme dad-ing happening while I was at running practice ^^
^^ My favorite simple treat ^^
^^ A funny thing that happened in my friend's classroom. One of her students handed in this poster on the 4 dimensions of health and obviously the local bridal magazine was a source used. Looks like our marriage has good social health haha ^^
^^ escaping the city for a quick family walk ^^
^^ being welcomed home by this beautiful wreath! ^^
^^ my little Northern girl ^^
^^ my own personal hair stylist ^^
^^ a cake baked during a sick-at-home weekend, when you can't actually attend the event yourself send a pretty cake over as your replacement! ^^
^^ my MIL enjoying skating on the river in front of her cabin (Emery felt the same!) ^^
^^ baking and freezing Christmas cookies ^^
^^ Beginning Christmas season the same way this year as we do every year, shopping at the annual Ten Thousand Villages sale at the museum! Last year I wore Emery on my chest and this year Emery scurried up and down the aisles on her own. Time flies! ^^
^^ Saving graces during flu season: a super fun basement bouldering wall, and all the green drink we can get our hands on! ^^
^^ Christmas tree snuggles ^^
^^ brunch food ^^
^^ Meeting best friend's babies! Emery may not get what the big deal about him is, but we sure do! ^^
^^ Playing fetch with puppy pals! Whoever said diamonds are a girls best friend clearly never had a puppy ^^
^^ my favourite festive view in our home ^^
^^ Christmas break trails runs WITHOUT THE STROLLER that had me feeling so free! ^^
^^ A novel that is the closes I've come to turning reading into a cardiovascular activity, I couldn't breathe while reading this book! ^^
^^post bath time smooches ^^
^^ our gourd nativity scene from Ten Thousand Villages ^^
^^ The Christmas cookie coma (assembling this plate made me realize just how much baking was done in December! ^^
^^ making protein bars for the adventure men in my life ^^
^^ Emery opening up the only chair in our living room that's not a hand-me-down. When in the world did my girl get big enough for her own chair?! ^^
^^ that point in the Christmas season where we were so behind on grocery shopping the only "fresh" snack I could conjure up was a blended cup of frozen mixed berries with coconut milk from the pantry. ^^
^^ Proof that I really am married to Santa Claus: Last years Christmas gift (the beautiful bathtub tray) and this years (huge knitting needles) ^^
^^ There were moose inside AND outside the cabin at Christmas! ^^
^^ Hoping that Christmas break would never end, but alas it did ^^
xo.
