In my life, there is no 'caught up' on scrapbooking - just slightly less behind. And I'm okay with that. I don't really scrapbook when I'm alone much, I like to work on it with girlfriends and over snacks. Thankfully, my friend Lindi loves hosting such events. Last Saturday I spent the day scrapbooking with her and a handful of other ladies. I brought Emery for the first half of the day so Hubby could sleep in, and she was loads of "help" haha. In the afternoon he took her and I got to have a hands-free girls day of crafting! Perfection.
I have now scrapbooked our adventures until the Summer of 2012 haha. I'm kind of doing a highlight reel of what we love most: adventures in the great outdoors! My plan for this book is to span from Fall 2011- Fall 2013, then a new book will take over starting at being pregnant with Emery. Here is what it looks like so far, starting with the opening page (with a photo from our 2nd anniversary):
Snowshoeing the Lake Agnes tea house trail with my husband and dad in Lake Louise, Nov. 2011:
A family ski trip with my parents, brother and sister-in-law and husband in Jasper, Mar. 2011:
Snowshoeing with my husband, Spring 2012:
My first time climbing outdoors with my husband at Hasslers Crag, Spring 2012:
Our first road trip to the West Coast, June 2012:
Exploring Ruckle Park on Saltspring Island by bicycle, June 2012:
Backpacking the Juan De Fuca trail on Vancouver Island, June 2012:
I included a little journal section on most pages which is new for me, but it's definitely helping me remember little details from our adventures like how many km's we went and what sites we saw!
Check out my friend and fellow scrapbooker Lindi's blog. I'm sure she'll be posting her pages from last Saturday too!
xo.
