Where have I been? I've been rotating shifts between the library and my bed :) The semester is wrapping up, summer employment is lining up nicely and I have a feeling there's going to be a lot more activity around these parts in the next while.
I told Husband on the weekend that I'm struggling in school. He took a look at my grades and said, no you're not. What I meant is that school right now is a struggle, good grades aren't coming nearly as easy as they used to and where I had free time to do fun things (ahem, blogging) I'm having to spend 2x as long making my foggy brain work. So that's the reason for the silence. Thankfully, only one more month to go and then I can let my mind run wild day dreaming about the baby!
^^Husband has me completely swooning over his sweetness when I've been sick. I wish I'd kept a tally chart of the pots of chicken noodle soup he's made in the past weeks, I swear it'd be in the thousands! Above is a quick photo of that 'emergency ginger tea' I'd mentioned in my first trimester survival guide post. He's perfected the concentration of that brew, I tell ya. ^^
^^My mama-in-law dropped off these beauties a couple weeks ago and the purple ones are still blooming. It's snowing outside this morning, but my appartment smells of Spring!^^
^^ I baked this lemon cake Sunday morning and by the evening there were only crumbs left! Instead of strawberries I baked blackberries into it, and filled the center hole of the bundt cake up with a mound of fresh blackberries. Try it, it's my no-fail, go-to recipe. ^^
^^ It looks like our grocery list this week was made by children. I'm prepping for a friends bridal shower this weekend and Easter baking, so the vegetables were just to make me feel good. I won't be buying any :) I'm planning on baking adorable little coconut macaroons to look like birds nests for Easter. ^^
All the photos were just taken on my iphone, pretty sure my DSLR is collecting dust behind the couch. But I'll be whipping it out this weekend to take 18 week maternity photos and I'll share a little bump-date on here :)
