For the first time this year, the forecast is calling for rain instead of flurries. April showers! Spring is here. So to celebrate, I grabbed my windex, scrub brush and rubber gloves! Ha. I love our little appartment for a few reasons, one of them being how quickly it is to clean. And that even our small amount of decor can make this place feel like home.
^^ I started out with the 'fun' stuff. Wiping down shelves, purging and then reorganizing. My two year stint at Starbucks has left me with a large collection of empty Tazo tea tins, which make the perfect containers for art supplies, as well as fit perfectly in my bathroom drawer! ^^
^^ Last week my jewlery was knotted together and spewed all throughout my dresser. Now it's organized into cute jewlery boxes, and necklaces are hung from tacks beside my closet. ^^
^^ Our spare room is still, lets say.. in progress. Husband has plans to make a training board for rock climbing to go in there, and right now our camping gear (and there is a lot of it) covers nearly every inch of the floor. I guess we're waiting for camping season to roll around so we can pack it up? Anyways, the wall is cute in there as it displays the flags from our wedding! ^^
^^ One day we'll pick our own kitchen cabinets and they'll be beautiful! Until then, I'm trying to make the kitchen look as nice as possible. A collection of my Grandfather's law books are displayed on the ledge. ^^
The walls are scrubbed, floor is swept, mopped and vacuumed, shelves are dusted, dishes are washed and cabinets are organized.. and I still haven't seen a drop of rain outside. Haha.
